Do you have obstacles in life that seem to consume you entirely?
Perhaps depleting you physically, emotionally, and intellectually?
Do any of these apply to you:
Are you feeling somewhat lost as to who you are?
Are you finding stress levels difficult to manage?
Are you feeling confused, disconnected or insecure?
Are you worrying about things that are out of your control?
Are you struggling with unhelpful patterns or behaviours that were once there to help you cope, but now make life much more challenging and isolating?
Do you struggle with everyday life and finding a sense of happiness and freedom?
Are you experiencing difficulties within relationships?
Do you find yourself anxious, overwhelmed and frustrated but can’t always pinpoint why?
Are you worried about being judged and wanting to please others all the time?
In order for you to feel and be the person you want to be, change needs to happen, but you don’t have to face it alone.
People who are dealing with a wide range of problems, including disabilities, relationship difficulties, phobias, panic attacks, substance abuse, personality disorders, low self-esteem linked to depression, stress management, eating disorders, and trauma recovery, among others, may find that client-centered therapy is helpful.
I adhere to the humanistic approach and try to see people's lives as they see it through their own eyes. I truly believe everyone has the capacity to change if they are willing to put in time and work. I’m person-centred which means that I am not the expert on your life, you are, as you know yourself best. Being a mother to a disabled child, I have a keen interest in this area and am health, nature, animal and equine orientated.
Whether you decide to work with me as your therapist or not, feel proud that by seeking out counselling, you have already made the first step towards change. Acknowledging that you need support takes tremendous courage. We have all been through hardships and talking to someone who empathises can be a life changing experience. I hope to hear from you soon!
